Peer Review Process

In the review process, Mumtaz involves writers, editors, section editors, and reviewers. Where in the review process, Mumtaz applies the Double-Blind Review model to maintain confidentiality. Each submitted manuscript is reviewed by the editor. If the article meets the focus and scope and guidelines for writing Mumtaz, then the document is forwarded to the reviewer to review the content and novelty of the manuscript. Otherwise, the manuscript will be returned to the author. A minimum of 2 reviewers will review each document for approximately 1-2 weeks with the manuscript assessment criteria as stated in the Article Assessment Form for Reviewers. Articles that have been submitted take an average of about 8 weeks to be published.
