Author Guidelines
AUTHOR GUIDELINES
- Manuscripts submitted to SHIFA HEALTH JOURNAL must present scientific research related to health science and medical fields. Manuscripts must be written in English.
- Manuscripts must be submitted through the online submission system. Submissions via email will not be accepted.
- Authors must register an account in the journal system before submitting their manuscript.
- Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format.
- Manuscripts should be a minimum of 8-10 pages in length for original research articles, or a maximum of 15 pages for review/survey papers and case reports.
- Manuscripts must follow the official journal template available at the following link:
Download Template - The recommended article structure follows the IMRaD format: Introduction – Method – Results and Discussion – Conclusion.
- Articles should include at least 25 references, preferably from the last five years, and at least 80% should come from reputable journals.
- All manuscripts must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy.
- Every manuscript will undergo a Double Blind Peer Review process.
- The editorial decision timeline may vary depending on the review process and manuscript quality.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript does not violate copyright or intellectual property rights.
An acceptable manuscript must make a meaningful contribution to scientific knowledge, apply appropriate research methodology, and provide sufficient detail to allow other researchers to reproduce the work. Data presented in the manuscript must clearly support the conclusions. The text should be concise, well-structured, and easy to understand.
Manuscripts should be written using Microsoft Word on A4 paper format with the following specifications:
- Font: Times New Roman
- Main text size: 10 pt
- Title size: 14 pt
- Spacing: single spacing
- Margins: Left, Top, Bottom 2.5 cm – Right 3 cm
The title should be concise and informative, ideally no more than 12 words. Avoid unnecessary phrases such as “Study of”, “Analysis of”, “Design of”, or similar expressions.

The abstract must be written in English and should contain 100–200 words. It should clearly describe:
- Research background
- Research objective
- Methodology
- Main findings
- Conclusion
The abstract should be self-contained and should not include references. Authors must provide 5–7 keywords to facilitate indexing and searchability.
References should primarily come from recent international journals and conference proceedings. The minimum number of references is:
- 25 references for original research articles
- 50 references for review articles
All references must follow the IEEE citation style. Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero to ensure consistent formatting.
This journal uses Open Journal Systems (OJS), an open-source journal management and publishing platform developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP).
