Abstract

PT. X is a company engaged in sand mining and sales of sand, stone crusher, ready mix/batching plant, asphalt mixing plant, precast concrete, and equipment rental. The problems that exist at PT. X is the negligence of workers/employees that can result in work accidents. To reduce accidents in the workplace, companies need to identify potential hazards and look for the root causes of work accidents. Therefore the method used is the HIRA and SCAT methods. HIRA is a process for recording the hazard capacity of work by describing the hazard of a work that is approximately in progress and assessing the risks that exist using a risk calculation chart. SCAT is a method used to evaluate and investigate accidents by using the SCAT chart (SCAT Graph). It can be concluded that the factors that cause work accidents include no inspection and evaluation in the work area, worker negligence, lack of focus, lack of work aids, workers not using complete PPE, lack of safe work area arrangement. Control given by the arrangement of the workplace, using complete PPE. use forklift to move oil drum. The company must provide a harness (rope) for workers when they are at height, routine cleaning of the work area and make a slope of the floor so that water goes down into the ditches. Take firm action against workers who do not wear complete PPE, and raise awareness.
