Abstract

This study aims to develop a Decision Support System (SPK) based on the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method in the selection of new members of HIMPROSI. The SAW method was chosen as the solution method in this study because it is able to weight the value of each attribute. The process is carried out by collecting performance data of prospective new members of HIMPROSI, giving weight to each criterion, and performing mathematical calculations to produce weighted summation values. Next, ranking is carried out to get the best alternative recommendations. The implementation of this SAW-based DSS can assist in decision making on the selection of new HIMPROSI members, reduce the subjectivity of assessment, and speed up the decision-making process. The study found that A5 had the highest rating and was considered the best candidate to be accepted as a new member with a score of 0.90.
