Sistem Pendukung Keputusan dengan Aplikasi, published by Ali Institute of Research and Publications, is a member of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).
Sistem Pendukung Keputusan dengan Aplikasi is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and taking all possible measures to prevent publication malpractice. Authors submitting papers to this journal certify that their work is original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Furthermore, authors confirm that their work:
-
Is entirely their own and has not been copied or plagiarized, either wholly or partially, from another work.
-
Does not involve any undisclosed actual or potential conflicts of interest that could affect its integrity.
Editorial Board Responsibilities
Article Publication Decisions
The Editor-in-Chief of Sistem Pendukung Keputusan dengan Aplikasi is responsible for deciding which submitted articles will be published. This decision is based on the journal’s editorial policies and legal requirements, including considerations related to defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The Editor-in-Chief may consult other editors or reviewers in making this decision.
Manuscript Review Process
The Editor-in-Chief ensures that each manuscript is initially evaluated by an editor or co-editor, who may use plagiarism-detection software to verify its authenticity. If the manuscript passes this initial check, it is forwarded to two independent peer reviewers for a double-blind review.
Each reviewer provides recommendations to either:
-
Accept the manuscript as is.
-
Suggest revisions.
-
Reject the manuscript.
The standard review process takes at least one month after the reviewer agrees to assess the manuscript. However, depending on the article’s quality, a decision may be reached earlier or later.
Fair Play
Manuscripts are evaluated solely on their intellectual merit, without regard to the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnicity, nationality, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality
The Editor-in-Chief, editors, and editorial staff must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, editorial advisors, or the publisher.
Conflicts of Interest
Unpublished material from a submitted manuscript must not be used in any editor’s own research without written permission from the author.
Responsibilities of Peer Reviewers
Timeliness
If a reviewer is unable to complete a manuscript review within the specified timeframe, they should notify the editor so the manuscript can be assigned to another reviewer.
Confidentiality
Manuscripts submitted for review must be treated as confidential documents and not shared with others without the editor’s permission.
Objectivity Standards
Reviews must be conducted objectively and without personal criticism of the author. Reviewers should express their opinions clearly and support them with logical arguments.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any previously reported statements must be accompanied by appropriate references. Reviewers should also notify the Editor-in-Chief of any substantial similarities or overlaps between the manuscript under review and other published works.
Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must not evaluate manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or personal relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the manuscript.
Responsibilities of Authors
Reporting Standards
Authors must present an accurate and objective account of their research. The manuscript should contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the study. Misleading or deliberately inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.
Data Access and Retention
Authors may be required to provide raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review. If applicable, they should ensure public access to this data and retain it for a reasonable period after publication.
Originality and Plagiarism
Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. If they use other sources, they must be properly cited. Any form of plagiarism is strictly prohibited.
Multiple Publications
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously. Submitting identical research to more than one major journal constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is strictly prohibited.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of others’ work is required. Authors must cite publications that have influenced their research.
Authorship Criteria
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have significantly contributed to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. All significant contributors must be listed as co-authors. Others who have provided support but do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that could influence the results or interpretation of their work. All sources of financial support must be disclosed.
Corrections and Retractions
If an author discovers a significant error in their published work, they must immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate to retract or correct the article.
Publisher’s Commitment to Ethics and Anti-Plagiarism Policy
Sistem Pendukung Keputusan dengan Aplikasi does not tolerate plagiarism in any form. Plagiarism is a serious ethical violation recognized by the entire scientific community.
If plagiarism is detected in a submitted manuscript or a published article, it will be taken seriously and appropriate actions will be taken. The journal encourages all authors, editors, and reviewers to uphold the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing.
We welcome suggestions from our Editorial and Review Boards to prevent ethical misconduct and ensure the integrity of published research.
