CrossMark Policy
CrossMark, a multi-publisher initiative by CrossRef, provides a standardized way for readers to identify the authoritative version of a document. Ali Institute of Research and Publication, as the publisher, recognizes the importance of scientific record integrity and completeness for researchers and librarians. The institute highly values maintaining trust in the authority of its electronic archives. By clicking the CrossMark icon, readers can learn about the current status of a document and may also access additional publication record information related to it.
Article Updates
Article updates can take various forms, all of which are communicated through official notices rather than direct modifications to the "original" article. These updates include:
Erratum (Correction, Addendum):
An erratum is a change initiated by the publisher, which may include a correction or an addendum (additional information).
Corrigendum (Clarification):
A corrigendum refers to corrections made to a published article at the author's initiative.
Expression of Concern:
This occurs when an article is suspected of academic ethics violations and is under investigation. The publisher has already corresponded with the author regarding the issue.
Retraction:
A retraction is an official statement withdrawing a published article. Retractions occur when:
a) The article is found to have serious flaws, such as problematic findings or conclusions, or proven plagiarism.
b) The article has been submitted multiple times or involved in duplicate publication (multiple submissions/redundancy).
The primary goal of retraction is to correct the academic record and ensure its integrity rather than to punish the author for an honest mistake. Retracted articles should not be removed from printed copies (including those in libraries) or electronic archives, but their status as "retracted articles" must be clearly stated.
Removal:
Article removal occurs when:
a) The article is subject to legal issues and has become part of a court case.
b) The article causes serious health concerns.
Withdrawal:
Withdrawal refers to the removal of a manuscript before publication due to academic flaws.
