Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Before Submitting, please note:

Authors are strongly advised to use software such as Mendeley to manage references (stations and bibliographies).
Before submitting to the editor, the editor performs a plagiarism check using Turnitin software with a similarity threshold of 35%. Articles exceeding this threshold will be returned for revision.
Article submissions are made through this website. Authors require an account to submit articles. If they don't have one, they can register through the Register menu. When filling out the registration form, don't forget to select the Author role. Once an account is created, they can log in, click New Submission, and then follow the steps. Please note that articles must be in Microsoft Word format (.doc / .docx) with a maximum size of 2 MB.
All manuscripts are reviewed by reviewers appointed by the editor based on their areas of expertise. Confirmation of publication or rejection of manuscripts will be notified in writing via email. The review process takes approximately 1-2 months. Review results are divided into three categories: accepted, revised, or rejected. If revisions are required, authors are given two weeks to revise their manuscript based on the recommendations/suggestions from the reviewers and editors.
Emails from the CoSIE journal sometimes go to spam. Therefore, authors are advised to check their spam folders or regularly update their articles' status in their journal accounts.
Calls for Papers will be held throughout the year. Each year, there are four publication periods for the journal: January (No. 1), April (No. 2), July (No. 3), and October (No. 4). Because the review process takes 1-2 months, submissions must be submitted no later than one month before each edition's publication date. For example, for the April edition, the deadline is March.

Publication schedule for each period is at the end of the month.

All matters relating to citation permissions or the use of computer software for manuscript creation, or other matters related to intellectual property rights (IPR) undertaken by the author, including any legal consequences that may arise, are the sole responsibility of the author.

Terms for cancellation of submitted articles: Notification of article cancellation can be made via email cosieaira@gmail.com If the article is still in the review and revision process, the article will be returned to the author and no fees will be charged. However, if the article status has been accepted, the author will be subject to a fine of IDR 100,000. If the article has been published, it cannot be canceled unless there are serious problems such as plagiarism, SARA violations, etc.
