Abstract

This study aims to increase teacher motivation in conducting quantitative research through training in the use of SPSS software. At Taman Cahaya Private Elementary School in Pematang Siantar, 21 teachers participated in community service activities. The activity stages include initial observations (interviews and surveys), preparation of training materials, training implementation, and evaluation. The training aimed to support teachers in designing and conducting research on the evaluation of learning media. As a whole, the training evaluation shows that a lot of things went well: the training itself (85.71%), the benefits of the activity (88.10%), the delivery of material by resource persons (91.67%), the suitability of the training theme (86.70%), and the overall implementation of training activities (88.10%). The assessment of the training participants yielded an average percentage result of 88.10%. Overall, we expect the SPSS training to positively impact teachers' capacity and motivation for quantitative research. We expect the training results to enable teachers to incorporate the findings of quantitative research into the school's learning process, thereby facilitating the selection of effective learning media based on evaluation results.
