Abstract

The development of information technology, particularly Geographic Information Systems (GIS), provides ease in visualizing geographic data for various purposes, including mapping strategic locations. In this study, researchers faced challenges in providing accurate information regarding location, distance, and the surrounding environment of land plots to potential buyers. Traditional marketing systems, which still rely on catalog books, have proven to have many shortcomings, such as incomplete data and limited appeal to consumers. This study offers a solution in the form of a web-based application utilizing GIS to assist the community, particularly potential buyers, in finding strategically located land plots. The Haversine method is applied to calculate the distance between the user's location and input preferences, such as proximity to public facilities or main roads. The objective of this research is to develop a modern system that can replace the function of traditional catalog books, making the process of finding land plots faster, more efficient, and tailored to user needs. The results of the study indicate that the developed application is capable of providing accurate recommendations for land plot locations, as well as increasing satisfaction and trust among potential buyers in the information provided.
