Implementation of Office Inventory Application for Asset Effectiveness

Office inventory data is a list of documents that records in detail all the items or assets owned by the company. This list is usually categorized by factors such as item type, acquisition date, quantity, item condition, or other categories agreed upon by the company. This research aims to identify, record, and manage office asset inventory at PT. Pelindo Regional 1 Belawan Branch to facilitate monitoring and supervision of items, ensuring proper maintenance. Using a qualitative approach, data was collected through interviews and observations to understand the needs and conditions of the office asset inventory. The design procedure in this study includes system analysis, field study, literature study, problem identification, proposed solutions, system design, application development, and system testing. The results show that the designed inventory management system has key features such as an interactive dashboard, asset tracking, maintenance notifications, reports and analysis, and user access. The implementation of this system improves efficiency and accuracy in office asset management, reduces operational costs, and ensures all assets are managed in line with the company’s objectives. In conclusion, this inventory system provides a strong foundation for strategic decision-making and better risk management, offering positive implications for PT. Pelindo Regional 1 Belawan Branch in improving the company’s operational effectiveness.
