Decision Support System for Selection of Fruits Worth Selling Using the MOORA Method

Abstract

Fruits have an important role in the health of the body. Indonesia is a tropical country so that it has the highest diversity of plant species in the world, there are 266 types of fruits that are considered native to Indonesia. Fruit has many benefits for the body in addition to being able to meet the nutrients we need, fruit can also prevent disease. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), humans should consume at least 400g of fruit per day for a healthy body, especially during the current pandemic. The MOORA method is used in this system because to determine what fruits are worth selling so that the fruit can be of good quality, of course it will be judged on its quality. So many criteria affect the quality of good fruit, this is a problem that needs to be resolved with a support system through the criteria and weights used, namely color (25%), fruit condition (20%), fruit texture (15%), maturity level (20% ), endurance(20%). Then 25 alternatives of kueni were used which were taken into consideration in the selection of fruit suitable for sale at the ibnu fruit shop in Pantai Cermin Village. Of the 25 alternatives used, the results obtained are kueni fruit 25 with the highest rank because it has a perfect weight value in each criterion, so kueni fruit 25 becomes the best recommendation to be selected as a fruit that is worth selling. The calculation of the decision support system for selecting fruit suitable for sale also applies to other fruits sold at the Ibnu Fruit shop in Pantai Cermin Village such as watermelon, rambutan, salak, pineapple and other fruits.
