AHP-TOPSIS Combination for Best Lecturer Selection Based on SINTA Metrics

In the world of higher education, evaluation is one of the steps to improve the quality of lecturers. However, lecturer evaluations often face obstacles in processing the results of questionnaires/assessment data that take a long time and are subjective, resulting in less valid decisions. The SINTA Metrics was chosen as the criteria in this study because it covers various aspects of lecturer performance assessment, including scientific publications, research impact, and involvement in academic activities. The use of SINTA Metrics can provide a significant quantitative dimension in lecturer performance assessment. This research aims to optimize the ranking results of Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) in the calculation of criteria weights. This process is done by calculating the weights of relevant criteria using the AHP method. The weighting results are then used in ranking by the TOPSIS method. By combining the two methods, the best lecturer ranking is produced that minimizes subjective bias.
