Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Journal of Computer Science and Informatics Engineering (CoSIE) welcomes original scholarly manuscripts within its aims and scope. Authors are required to follow these guidelines to ensure that submissions meet the journal's editorial, technical, and ethical requirements.

Before Submitting

Authors should ensure that:

The manuscript is original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration by another journal.
The manuscript follows the official CoSIE article template and formatting requirements.
The manuscript is written in clear academic English and follows the journal's prescribed structure.
All authors have made appropriate scholarly contributions, approved the submitted version, and agreed to the submission.
References and citations are accurate, complete, relevant, and consistently formatted according to the journal's required citation style.
All tables, figures, equations, and other materials are properly numbered, titled, cited, and accompanied by appropriate source acknowledgments where necessary.
Research ethics approval, informed consent, funding information, acknowledgments, and competing-interest disclosures are included where applicable.
The manuscript file and its document metadata do not contain author-identifying information that could compromise CoSIE's double-blind peer-review process.

Manuscript Preparation

Authors must follow the article structure and technical requirements stated in the official CoSIE template and Author Guidelines. The manuscript should clearly present the research problem, objectives, relevant literature, methodology, results, discussion, conclusions, and references, as applicable to the article type.

Authors are encouraged to use reference-management software, such as Mendeley or Zotero, to maintain accurate and consistent citations and bibliographies.

Originality and Similarity Screening

All submissions may be screened using plagiarism-detection or similarity-checking software. A similarity score is an initial screening indicator and does not, by itself, establish whether plagiarism has occurred.

CoSIE evaluates similarity reports in context, considering the nature, source, distribution, and significance of overlapping text. Submissions that raise substantial concerns may be returned for clarification or revision, rejected, or handled in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.

Authors must ensure that their work properly acknowledges the ideas, text, data, and materials of others.

Submission Procedure

Manuscripts must be submitted through the official CoSIE online journal management system (OJS). Authors must register for an account or log in to an existing account and complete the required submission steps.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that the manuscript, metadata, author information, declarations, and supplementary files are complete and accurate.

Peer Review and Editorial Decisions

CoSIE applies a double-blind peer-review process, with at least two independent reviewers evaluating each research manuscript. Authors must respond carefully to reviewer comments and provide a clear revision or response document when revisions are requested.

Submission does not guarantee acceptance. The final editorial decision is made by the editor based on the manuscript's scientific merit, the reviewers' assessments, and the journal's policies.

Publication Ethics and AI Use

Authors must comply with CoSIE's policies on publication ethics, authorship, plagiarism, competing interests, research ethics, and the use of artificial intelligence tools. Any applicable AI-use disclosure must follow the journal's AI policy.

Authors publishing in the Journal of Computer Science and Informatics Engineering (CoSIE) agree to the following terms:

Authors retain copyright of their work and grant CoSIE the right of first publication, unless otherwise specified in the journal's applicable copyright and licensing policy.
Authors agree that their published articles will be distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), provided that this license is consistent with the journal's official licensing policy. The license permits others to share and adapt the material, subject to appropriate attribution, indication of changes, and distribution of adaptations under the same license.
Authors may enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the published version of their work, provided that the original publication in CoSIE is acknowledged.
Authors are permitted and encouraged to share their work through institutional repositories, personal websites, or other appropriate scholarly platforms, in accordance with the journal's copyright and licensing policy. Any sharing should include proper acknowledgment of the original publication in CoSIE.

Publication under this license does not remove the authors' responsibility for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their submitted work.
